RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia National Guard Association’s 2022 Spring Membership Drive “March Madness” begins today, March 13, 2022, to coincide with the ever popular National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Basketball Tournament.

New and renewal members who join between Mar. 13 and Apr. 4, in any active, digital life, active or retired life National Guard Association of the United States membership category, receive a complementary annual VNGA membership.

Officers and Warrant Officers can renew and sign-up for their free membership at this webpage.

“What’s really cool is the tournament option that goes along with this,” said Andrew J. Czaplicki, VNGA president. “Any new or renewal member can enter the name of the person who referred them and that person is automatically entered to win a free trip to the [National Guard Association of the United States] Conference in Columbus.”

This month-long membership drive incentivizes new members to act and get current members involved in recruitment. Participants can self-refer if no one referred them to join.

The tournament winner will be announced following a review of the participants and their availability to attend the national conference, Czaplicki said.
