VNGA seeking nominations for Board Positions

RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia National Guard Association launches the call for Officers and Warrant Officers to apply for open positions on the VNGA Board of Directors to help lead the association dedicated to furthering the profession of the Virginia National Guard. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2023. Applications or nominations may be submitted here.

The available Elected Officer positions requiring membership approval during the annual conference are:

President
Vice President – Army National Guard
Vice President – Air National Guard
Director of the Company Grade Officer Caucus
Director of the Warrant Officer Caucus
Director of the Retiree Caucus

The available Appointed Officer positions requiring approval of the Board of Directors are:

Secretary
Treasurer

The available positions on the Board of Directors are:

Director of Advocacy
Director of Events
Director of Membership
Director of Communications

Additional leadership and support positions on Standing Committees that are available are:

Advocacy
Awards
Bylaws
Family Support
Finance
Nominations
Scholarship

The nomination period is open and closes March 31, 2023.

Nominees must be an active member of the VNGA in good standing and possess leadership abilities that enable them to influence beyond rank or position. Anyone may self-nominate or nominate someone else here.

The VNGA values and seeks diverse leadership as defined by race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, appearance, geographic location, and professional level. It seeks leaders from all types and sizes of Army and Air National Guard units, elements and organizations.
