RICHMOND, Va. – The Executive Council of the Virginia National Guard Association has selected Capt. Adam Provost to chair the 2021-2022 Nominations Committee. Provost was nominated and confirmed by a unanimous vote following the rescheduled Executive Council meeting held virtually Feb. 18, 2021.
“Capt. Provost is a committed leader and will undoubtedly do an excellent job,” said Maj. Andrew J. Czaplicki, VNGA President. “I look forward to seeing the committee’s nominees.”
Provost replaces Col. Michael Booker who served as the nominations chair for the past three years.
The nomination committee is charged with identifying talented Officers and Warrant Officers to fill elected positions within the VNGA’s Executive Council. The elected positions serve for a one year term. Some positions, such as the Company Grade and Warrant Officer Representative, are eligible for reelection. The specific duties are outlined in the VNGA Standard Operating Procedures, but generally serve as liaisons between the Virginia Army and Air National Guard Commands and Units to identify issues, propose resolutions and coordinate member services.

Vice President – Army National Guard
Vice President – Air National Guard
Company Grade Officer Representative
Warrant Officer Representative
The nomination period is open and closes Friday, Sept. 18, 2021, prior to the start of the annual conference and business meeting.
Nominees must be an active member of the VNGA in good standing and possess leadership abilities that enable them to influence beyond rank or position.
